Because it wastes far too much memory to make itself pretty when that can be achieved much easier with other programs, and it can be done on older operating systems as well. Furthermore, Vista has serious compatibility issues with my game library. This is my opinion of course.

Authentic, Energetic, Reflective and Open (AERO) is a fail in my opinion. Both in looks, as in name. Because it's not authentic, there are much other things before such that did the same work, better; energetic, consuming more than the whole system without it; reflective, when it only shows transparencies, blurred; open, when it's completly closed source.

I prefer alternatives, to any Microsoft® product.

Because a friend of mine, and I agree with him, always says that people say "Vista is shit" just to follow the mainstream, and can't argue with opinions.
